2009 Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championships

September 9-13 2009 sees the Gold Coast hosting the ITU Triathlon World Championships.

This September there is a week of triathlon events on the Gold Coast. You do not need to have been selected for a country to participate.

ITU Triathlon World Championships will have an olympic distance race and a sprint distance. Triathletes will compete in elite, under 23, junior, age group and also AWAD (athletes with a disability).


Olympic Distance covers 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and a 10km run.

Sprint Distance covers 0.75km swim, 20km bike ride and a 5km run.
